Dana and Vered built their studio on a foundation of friendship, and that ease shows in every space they create. Working between Dallas and Tel Aviv, their perspective is shaped by two cultures, two cities, and a shared belief that great design begins with understanding how people actually live.

Calm, intentional, and deeply personal, their work reflects a conviction that good design should quiet the room, not compete with it. Every finish, proportion, and transition is considered, because the details are where a house becomes a home.

A Conversation with D + V Design

Q

How would you describe your design approach in your own words?

A

Our design approach begins with people, not style. We are driven by the desire to understand what home truly means to each client, how they live, move, rest, and gather. From there, we design spaces that feel calm, intentional, deeply personal and timeless.

We believe in design minimalism and in a more mindful way of living: clean spaces, natural materials, abundant natural light, and subtle twists, moments of color or character that quietly enrich the background rather than dominate it.

We are detail-oriented. Every finish, proportion, and transition matters to us. We think about how materials meet, how light hits a surface, how something will age over time.

At the same time, we design for real life. We aim to balance warmth and minimalism creating spaces that feel refined but still inviting and comfortable.

Our partnership, shaped by friendship and by working between Dallas and Tel Aviv, continuously enriches our perspective and design thinking.

Q

What types of projects or clients are the best fit for you right now?

A

The best fit for us are residential projects, apartments and private homes where there is room for a thoughtful process. Our services range from a focused design consultation to a full A to Z design journey, and we especially enjoy working with clients who are curious, well-traveled, and design-aware. Clients who value quality over trends, are open to dialogue, and are willing to trust the process and walk alongside us.

We work both in Israel and in Dallas, and our ideal projects are those that allow for collaboration, depth, and a shared language regardless of geography.

Q

Where does thoughtful design make the biggest difference in a home?

A

Thoughtful design makes the biggest difference in the everyday spaces: kitchens, bathrooms, storage, circulation.

It is in the layout of a kitchen that actually works, the placement of outlets so nothing feels random, the right lighting temperature so a space feels warm instead of harsh.

Also in material choices: selecting real, honest materials instead of imitations. The difference between something authentic and something that only looks good at first glance is huge over time.

And honestly, even in smaller spaces like a guest powder room, that is often where you can take a bold design moment and really make a statement.

Q

How do you help clients turn ideas into a home that really works?

A

We help clients turn ideas into a home that works by starting with a deep understanding of how they live, what matters to them, and how they define comfort and beauty.

Then we translate those ideas into a clear design direction. We create mood boards, material palettes, layouts, and detailed drawings so everything feels intentional and cohesive.

We also guide decision-making. Clients often come with inspiration images, but our job is to filter that through their lifestyle, architecture, and budget and shape it into something realistic and refined.

It is about bridging emotion and practicality. Collaboration, trust, and open dialogue are at the heart of making their vision a reality.

Q

What do you want people to feel when they walk into a home you designed?

A

We want people to feel at home.

We want them to feel grounded, comfortable, and inspired, like the space makes sense and nothing is competing for attention.

There should be a quiet confidence in the design. It does not scream, it speaks softly but intentionally.

And most importantly, it should feel made for them, not for us.

Not sure where to start?

That's exactly what we're here for.
