I am a mom and a designer, and those two things inform everything I do at Style Studio Interiors. I stand for creating homes that are both highly curated and deeply livable. I believe you should not have to choose between beauty and durability. We take pride in selecting furnishings and materials that can withstand the test of time. I want my clients to enjoy their homes without maintaining a long list of rules just to keep them looking perfect. A beautiful home should work as hard as the family living in it.

Recently we designed and furnished a residential basketball gym, arcade, living room, kitchen, and locker room for a very deserving family in our hometown of Flower Mound, Texas. This client relationship felt perfect because we shared a vision and they trusted it. Our selections were approved quickly and with genuine excitement. They allowed us to furnish and finalize this space with every last design detail, and what we created together was a dream space for their family. How do you design for the way a family actually lives, not just the way a home looks in photos?
A
We are always paying attention to the real needs of each home. Does it need to hide the mess that comes with small children or pets? Do we need to bring in more light, or create more mood and intimacy? We look for spaces in need of smart storage solutions and keep in mind how the homeowner may be growing as a family or person. We want our designs to last, which means they have to accommodate life as it actually happens, not life as it appears in a magazine. That forward thinking is why so many of our clients refer us to their friends.

Tell us about one of your projects that really stuck with you.
A
This year we took a dated and stale home and brought in pattern, color, and an entirely fresh new look. The transformation was remarkable. The homeowner was so happy she never imagined her home could feel the way it does now. These are the moments we work so hard for. That feeling of watching someone fall in love with their space all over again reminds me why I do this work.
